Bring-a-friend to MRC Training

The Bring-a-friend-to-MRC training was completed in April 2010. MRCs recruited and helped teach a friend or family member during a two-day training that covered waste prevention and curbside recycling programs. MRCs and their friends agreed to volunteer together for five events or more in 2010. This is a fun way for MRCs to stay active, bring a buddy into the program, and continue to provide valuable recycling education!

To learn how you can involve a friend for the next MRC training, contact Shaina at 206-449-1108 or vc@mrcvolunteer.org.

King County produced an updated manual for the 2009 training that you can download (see the "Resources" section of this Web site for the latest version with new information).

The next MRC volunteer training is tentatively planned for 2011. This means that the MRC program will not have a fresh group of volunteers in 2010 unless you come to the rescue! Rekindle your MRC flame and recruit a friend to keep the program thriving.
